I came a long way before I ended up on the path of Weston Price. And all that time I assumed that I was eating a healthy diet. For almost 10 years I was a vegetarian, convinced that what I was eating was all incredibly healthy. Organic vegetables, fruit, beans, nuts, superfoods like chia seeds and chlorella. But then in the evening I would find myself standing front of the fridge, longing for sweet deserts and craving chocolate. How could it be that I didn't feel satisfied? Why was I still hungry? I ate super healthy, didn't I?
It didn't sit well with me and I continued my search. I immersed myself in new articles on the internet, I went to lectures and spoke with a great many different nutritionists. And that is how I eventually came across Weston Price, a dentist who at the beginning of the last century started to investigate on his own why there were hardly any diseases among primitive peoples. He discovered that it had to do with the way they ate. Weston Price formulated 11 nutritional principles.
When I changed my diet and started eating according to these 11 nutritional principles, everything fell into place for me. I had never felt so well-fed! I now also see that vitality in my family and in the people who follow my nutritional advice. The peace that arises in a well-fed system is such a relief.”
